Usher Ministry
Mission
The mission of the Usher Ministry is to provide comfort and to promote the fellowship necessary in God’s house.
As an officer of the church, the usher aids the Pastor by “ministering” to the congregation to ensure the right attitude and spirit for receiving the proclaimed message.
A good usher must have a Christ-like mind with Christ-like ways. The usher is alike a lamp on a stand, “not put under a bushel, but on a candlestick that giveth light unto all that are in the house” (Matthew 5:15).
VISION
The Vision of the Usher Ministry is to develop a Ministry that provide ushers and usher services for the New Harvest worship services and special activities.
Church ushers are doorkeepers and guards in the house of God at all times.
“For a day I thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of the wickedness” (Psalms 84:10).
New Harvest Christian Centers' ushers help shape the opinion that others will have of our church. We ensure that every member and visitor receives a smile, a hug, handshake or a kind word. We demonstrate New Harvest love and appreciation to every visitor.
