The late Pastor Ray C. Brown was the Senior Pastor of New Harvest Christian Center, a non-denominational church located in Tallahassee, Florida. A native of Tallahassee, his early life was of obscurity and lack. God’s word says, “Behold, I have refined thee but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10). From the beginning, God orchestrated the events of his life to bring him to the point where in 1987, he was saved and gloriously baptized in the Holy Spirit.

His call to the Ministry was accepted in 1989, and he was licensed as a Minister. Receiving solid biblical teaching and training under the late Pastor Charles Brantley, he was ordained an Elder in the Church of God in Christ on August 4, 1992.
 

Pastor Brown served under Pastor Charles Brantley at Greater Love Church of God in Christ until the Lord called him and his wife to plant the Ministry of New Harvest Christian Center in July 1994. Pastor Brown taught and preached the Word of God with a biblical and practical awareness, with integrity, balance, and without compromise. A graduate of International Seminary, he held a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology and Christian Counseling. Ministering with the heart of a servant, his focus was to equip the saints not only to do the work of the Ministry, but to realize that they have a God given covenant through Jesus Christ, to live a life full of peace, prosperity, and abundance of joy.

Pastor Brown was happily married to First Lady Elect Mollie Brown, who assisted him in ministry and on life’s journey. They are the proud parents of four children and nine grandchildren.
